Chile has benefited from the influence of French wine makers. Many French nobility spotted that Maipo, part of the Central Valley Region, contained all the natural ingredients for wine production. The climate is warm rather than hot and is cooled by the Pacific Ocean. Wine exported covers Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.
